MBB: Summer League Competition Heats Up

The whirlwind introduction to the NBA continues for two former Miami basketball players.

Playing their third game in four days, Kenny Kadji and Durand Scott again searched for ways to see their names on an NBA roster. Held scoreless, Kadji affected the game positively for a second night in a row. He was aggressive on the boards, pulling down 5 rebounds and registering two more blocked shots. The Cavaliers, however, lost to the New Orleans Pelicans 66-62.

Scott’s Spurs squad fared better, beating the Atlanta Hawks 96-87. In extended playing time, Scott doled out two assists and recorded one rebound.

Scott and Kadji will continue play Wednesday, July 17 when the Vegas Summer League tournament begins.
