DeQuan Jones – Orlando Magic
The rookie guard has started in 13 of the 29 games he’s played for the Orlando Magic, while averaging 12 minutes of play per contest. On the court, Jones is grabbing 2.0 rebounds and scoring 3.1 points a game while shooting 46.4 percent.
James Jones – Miami Heat
The nine-year veteran has made 603 career 3-pointers on 40.1 percent shooting from behind the arc. This season, Jones is coming off the bench for the Miami Heat averaging 1.3 points a game, connecting on six of his 18 three-point attempts.
John Salmons – Sacramento Kings
John Salmons is pouring in 9.4 points, grabbing 2.8 rebounds and dishing out 3.1 assists in 29.4 minutes of play for the Sacramento Kings this season. The 10-year veteran is shooting 44.1 percent from the field while connecting on 73.8 percent of his shots from the charity stripe. Salmons has started all but four games this season.
Brian Asbury – Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla (Spain)
Brian Asbury, in 28 games, is averaging 10 points, 3.4 rebounds, and a team-leading 1.04 steals in 23 minutes per contest. The 6-8 forward is making 72.5 percent of his freethrows while connecting on 47.9 of his shots from the field.
Malcolm Grant – Wollongong Hawks (Australia)
After a brief tenure with APOEL Nicosia, Malcolm Grant has signed with the Wollongong Hawks to replace former Hurricane teammate Lance Hurdle, who both ruptured their ACL’s earlier this month. In nine games for the Hawks, Grant is averaging 6.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
Lance Hurdle – Wollongong Hawks (Australia)
Lance Hurdle has recently undergone successful knee surgery to repair a torn ACL, and has already begun rehabilitation. Prior to the injury, Hurdle averaged 11.2 points on 38.6 percent shooting, while grabbing 2.5 rebounds and tossing 1.4 assists per contest.
Anthony King – Artland Dragons (Germany)
Anthony King is snatching 6.7 rebounds per game, making him the Dragons’ leading rebounder this season. The 6-9 center is also throwing in 10.6 points on 53.1 percent shooting while dishing out 1.16 assists a game. The big man is also shooting 77.8 percent from the charity stripe.
Jack McClinton – Fort Wayne Mad Ants
After establishing himself as an elite 3-point marksman in Europe, Jack McClinton declined several offers from teams overseas and entered the NBA Development League draft in 2012. The six-foot guard was drafted by the Reno Bighorns but has since been traded to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Due to injury, McClinton hasn’t played in a game for the Mad Ants yet.
Adrian Thomas – Bakersfield Jam (NBDL)
After returning from Japan last month, Adrian Thomas has come back to the United States to average 4.1 points and 1.57 rebounds in 11.3 minutes for the Bakersfield Jam. The Pembroke Pines native is second on his team in 3-point shooting, connecting on 39.4 percent in seven games for the Jam.
