Hurricanes Add Another Early Enrollee for Spring

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami has announced that local Miami product Larry Hope has enrolled early and will join the Hurricanes football team as a student-athlete for the spring semester.

Hope is a three-star prospect according to national recruiting services, and is ranked as the No. 60 player at his position nationally by ESPN. The 5-11, 160 lb. cornerback is on campus and has begun classes for the spring semester.

Hope attended nearby American Senior High School, where he finished his junior season with 46 tackles and three interceptions. He also attended Al Golden’s Football Camp before his senior season, where he received Defensive Back MVP honors.

Hope joins the university a day before National Signing Day, which will take place Feb. 1. All nine of the newly minted canes will participate in spring practices beginning March 3.
