Football Hosting National Signing Day Event

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–Projected to have one of the best classes in the country, the University of Miami football program will host a National Signing Day party on Wednesday, February 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the BankUnited Center multi-purpose room. The event is free to Hurricane Club members and admission is $1 for fans who are not members of the Hurricane Club.
Head Coach Al Golden and his staff will be on hand to introduce Miami fans to the Class of 2012. The party kicks off at 6 p.m. with food and beverage available for purchase throughout the event. The 2012 Class will be introduced by Coach Golden and his staff, complete with a highlight reel of the newest Hurricanes. At 7:30 p.m. Coach Golden will join the Voice of the Hurricanes, Joe Zagacki, live on WQAM to talk about the class.
Sebastian the Ibis, UM cheerleaders, the Sunsations and the pep band will all be on hand for the festivities.
Any fan attending the National Signing Day party is eligible to purchase a ticket to the Canes Men’s Basketball game vs. Maryland for only $5. Tipoff for the game is slated for 8 p.m. at the BankUnited Center.
Below is a timeline of events:
6 p.m.–Party kicks off
6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.–Coach Golden and staff introduces the 2012 Class.
7:30 p.m.–Coach Golden live on WQAM to talk about the 2012 Class
8 p.m.–Miami Men’s Basketball vs. Maryland. Tickets are only $5 for Signing Day party attendees.
