CORAL GABLES, Fla. –The University of Miami women’s basketballteam (1-2) puts its 10-game home winning streak on the line as CoppinState (1-2) travels to town for the Hurricanes’ home opener on Tuesday,December 1 at 7 p.m. at the Knight Sports Complex on the UM campus.

The Hurricanes, led by seniorsKym Hope and Jennifer Jordan, are23-3 all-time in home openers, including a 9-1 mark during the FerneLabati era (1988-present). Both Hope (18.7 ppg) and Jordan (16.0ppg)are averaging double-figure scoring for the Hurricanes.

UM defeated Florida Internationalin its season opener on theroad at FIU on November 18, but since fell at Tulane and Florida.Coppin State opened the season with a win over High Point, but lostitsfollowing two games against Michigan and Oklahoma at the Torneo Cancunde Basquetbol tournament in Cancun, Mexico.
