CORAL GABLES, FL – Sebastian the Ibis, the University of Miami’s officialmascot, will make a special appearance from 7:00 – 9:00 pm on Thursday,August 20 at the Beach Place in Ft. Lauderdale. The Beach Place islocated on 17 South Atlantic Boulevard. on A1A just north of Las Olas Boulevard.

In addition to the appearance by Sebastian the Ibis, there will be interactivegames, prizes, and autographs. The University of Miami cheerleaderswill also be on hand.

The Ibis, one of the most recognizable college mascots in the UnitedStates, represents the last sign of wildlife to take shelter before a Hurricaneand the first to reappear following the storm.
