CORAL GABLES, FL – The University of Miami will be one of over 100college football programs participating this season in the national TakeA Kid To The Game Program.

On Sept. 5, the University of Miami will provide one free youth ticket(children 17-and-under) with every full-priced adult ticket purchased forthe Hurricanes’ season opener against East Tennessee State at the OrangeBowl.

Take A Kid To The Game tickets can be purchased on the day of the gamebeginning at 5:30 p.m. at the NE Ticket Plaza of the Orange Bowl. TakeA Kid To The Game tickets will not be available prior to Sept. 5.

The original program, developed by Host Communications Inc. in 1996,included 30 Division I women’s basketball schools. The number increasedto 112 Division I women’s basketball institutions in 1997 with over 320,000kids attending nationwide. This year’s Take A Kid To The Game program willpromote youth attendance at over 100 football and 300 women’s basketballinstitutions across the nation.
