CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s and women’s crew programsheld their annual awards banquet to honor the 1997-98 squads. Headcoach Joe O’Connor recognized the 1998 senior class and their teammatesand presented individual achievement awards.

The 1997-98 Miami rowing season has been highlighted performance fromthe UM women’s varsity boats that swept the five varsity races at the FloridaState Championships in Tampa. The Hurricane women are awaiting abid to the NCAA Central Regional Championships to be held May 15 in OakRidge, TN.

The Hurricane crew coaches announced the following award recipients:
