Hayton and Yuska Earn Academic Honors

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association today announced its annual National Scholar Athletes, and two Canes are among the honorees.
Sophomores Breanna Hayton and Dani Yuska were named 2012 National Scholar Athletes. To earn the distinction, the student-athlete must meet all eligibility rules as defined by her institution. The student-athletes must be at least in her second year of eligibility, must have rowed in her institution’s NCAA or IRA-eligible boat(s) for a minimum of 75 percent of the current spring races or racing in a regional conference event and must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or higher for her career.
Hayton is majoring in engineering and Yuska is pursuing a degree in nursing.
