CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketball staff will feature Elite, Day and Team camps this summer at UM’s BankUnited Center and Practice Field House.
Katie Meier Elite Camp
AGES: High School and AAU Players
TIME: June 28-29 – 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
June 29, 9 a.m. to Noon
LOCATION: BankUnited Center / Practice Facility
OVERNIGHT CAMPERS: TUITION $225 – Tuition includes lunch, dinner & breakfast, transportation to/from airport/Amtrak/bus station, and camp t-shirt.
COMMUTER CAMPERS: TUITION: $175 – Tuition includes lunch & dinner, and camp t-shirt.
TRANSPORTATION: Roundtrip transportation is provided to/from the Miami Airport, Ft. Lauderdale Airport, Miami Amtrak and Bus Station.
DISCOUNT: 10% off for UM Employees
Discounted overnight rate available to groups of 4 or more campers.
The ‘Canes high-intensity Elite Camp is the most competitive of our individual camps. High school and junior college age players receive personalized instruction with an emphasis on enhancing their individual skill level based on their position. This camp uses a combination of individual and team-based instruction and competition. It exposes players to what it takes to compete at the “next level.”
Katie Meier Day Camp
DATES: June 25-June 29 and July 16-20
AGES: Grades 3 – 12 and Grades 3-9 respectively
TIME: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. M-TH, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. FRI
LOCATION: Knight Sports Complex and Practice Facility
TUITION: $330 – Tuition includes lunch Monday-Thursday and camp t-shirt.
10% discount for returning campers and UM employees.
Day Camp gives each camper a chance to improve her skills through individual skill development exercises as well as small group instruction and competition. The camp emphasizes fundamentals, individual offense and defense, as well as shooting techniques.
Katie Meier Team Camp
Dates: June 23 and 24
Commuter Package: $350/Team
Includes team fee and up to 10 players
Additional Players =$35/player
Overnight Package #1: $800/Team
Includes team fee and up to 10 players along with four rooms for one night at the Holiday Inn Coral Gables, Fla. (across from campus).
Additional Players=$35/player
Overnight Package #2: $1,025/Team
Includes team fee and up to 10 players, along with six rooms for one night at the Holiday Inn Coral Gables, Fla. (across from campus).
Additional Players will cost $35.
Our team camp has grown every year. Our camps give the opportunity for young girls to develop their talent and have a great time while they are doing it. Team Jam has two competitive divisions: high school and AAU. Team Jam is a camp that exudes a careful format of scheduling that seeks to increase team growth, confidence, and chemistry. This camp gives teams the opportunity to play in an atmosphere that emphasizes and encourages the factor of “family” which is a key component of championship teams.
