Spring Award Winners

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami Coach Al Golden awarded his Orange & Green Game Awards for the second season in a row on Saturday during halftime of the 2012 Miami Hurricanes Annual Spring Game held at Sun Life Stadium.
The four awards included the 305 Walk-On Award, the Defensive Most Improved Player, the Offensive Most Improved Player and the Special Teams Most Improved Player.
The 305 Walk-On Award is presented to the best or most improved non-scholarship player for the spring practice period. This year’s recipient was Garrett Kidd.
The Defensive Most Improved Player Award is presented to the most improved defensive player for the spring practice period. This year’s recipient was Shayon Green.
The Offensive Most Improved Player Award is presented to the most improved offensive player for the spring practice period. This year’s recipient was Rashawn Scott.
The Special Teams Most Improved Player Award is presented to the most improved special teams player for the spring practice period. This year’s recipient was Thomas Finnie.
