Miami Will Look to Bounce Back Against No. 7 Wake Forest

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s soccer team hopes to start a new win streak at Wake Forest when it faces the Demon Deacons Sunday at 1 p.m. in Winston-Salem, N.C. 

The Hurricanes (7-2, 1-1 ACC) are coming off a tough loss to fourth-ranked Duke after winning a program record-tying seven straight games.

Wake Forest (9-1, 2-0 ACC) is currently on a six-match winning streak since losing to Connecticut on Sept. 2. The Demon Deacon’s last win came in a 2-1, come -from-behind effort against NC State on Thursday.

Wake Forest’s Katie Stengel has an ACC-leading 26 total points this season, with 11 goals and four assists. She added an assist in Thursday night’s win.

The Canes will be back home in Cobb stadium on Sept. 29 to face the Wolfpack of NC State, who is coming off a loss to Wake Forest and will take on Maryland this Sunday.
