Running Backs Roundtable Tonight on Hurricane Hotline
Sept. 20, 2011
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The fourth Hurricane Hotline of the fall season will be held Tuesday night at Monty’s in Coconut Grove. The show will take a look back at Saturday night’s big win against Ohio State, a look ahead to the Kansas State game and feature a roundtable discussion in UM’s running backs.
For the second straight year, the show is airing live from Monty’s, but this is the first season with weekly segments featuring an assistant coach and a few student-athletes. Airing Tuesday or Wednesdays on 560 WQAM from 7-9 p.m., this week’s show will have hosts Joe Zagacki and Don Bailey Jr. breaking down the win against the Buckeyes and look ahead to another non-conference test against KSU. The Hurricanes and Wildcats will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium on ESPN.
This week’s guests include running backs coach Terry Richardson, along with backs Lamar Miller, Mike James, John Calhoun and Maurice Hagens. Against the Buckeyes, Miller rushed for 115 yards in the first quarter alone, which was more than what Ohio State allowed against its first two opponents combined this season. The sophomore was named CFPA National Running Back of the Week following his performance against Ohio State.
Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to meet members of the team, ask questions live on the air and win prizes from the WQAM staff throughout the event. Fans listening on the radio or online at www. WQAM.com can also send questions to the Canes radio team via Twitter @hurricanesports.
