First Hurricane Gameday Set to Air Thursday

CORAL GABLES, Fla. –Al Golden’s now-famous “UTough” offseason conditioning program will be the focus of the first Hurricane Gameday of the 2011 season set to air Thursday night on CSS.
The show – which is scheduled to air throughout the season on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. and again on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. – will feature a new format this season that gives Canes fans a deeper look into the program than ever before. Hosts Joe Zagacki and Don Bailey Jr. will continue to bring interviews with players and coaches as always, while cameras will bring unprecedented access to practice, workouts and team meetings.
In addition to focusing on the team’s training regimen, the season’s first show will include a segment on Strength and Conditioning coach Andreu Swasey as well as interviews with quarterbacks Jacory Harris and Stephen Morris.

The Hurricanes will kick-off their 2011 season against the Terrapins Monday, Sept. 5 at Byrd Stadium in College Park. The game, which is scheduled to kick at 8 p.m., will be shown live on both ESPNHD and ESPN3D.
