Miami set to face No. 16 Maryland in Home Finale

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s soccer team will play at Cobb Stadium for the final time this season when it faces 16th-ranked Maryland on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Canes (8-5-1, 2-4- 1 ACC) are hoping to ride the momentum created on Thursday night when they upended ninth-ranked Boston College, 3-2.
Two of Miami’s goals in that match were season firsts, as Blake Stockton opened the scoring in the seventh minute and Jordan Roseboro notched the game-winner late in the second-half.
The Terrapins are coming off a 3-0 shutout of Florida State on Thursday, leveling their conference record at 2-2-2. Overall, Maryland is 8-2-4 on the season and is led offensively by Olivia Wegner, who has six goals and two assists for a team-leading 14 points.

After Sunday’s contest, Miami will be hit the road for its final two regular season games, facing No. 17 Florida State on Oct. 23 and No. 14 Virginia on Oct. 27.
