HurricaneSports.com Ready For Wall-To-Wall Signing Day Coverage

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – You have heard from the recruits.  You have heard from their coaches, teammates and all of the recruiting experts.  On National Signing Day (Wednesday, Feb. 2), Miami fans will finally be able to hear from the ‘Canes coaching staff and head coach Al Golden…. and the coaching staff’s first comments will be broadcast directly to fans through HurricaneSports.com.

The unprecedented live video coverage and social media fan interaction will begin early in the morning on Feb. 2. From the moment the first National Letter of Intent (NLI) comes through the fax machine, HurricaneSports.com and flagship radio partner 560 WQAM will have exclusive minute-by-minute coverage of one of the most anticipated days of the off-season.

The video team on HurricaneSports.com will have a live, breaking news feed open all-day with legendary Miami radio personalities Don Bailey Jr. and Joe Zagacki.  As soon as an NLI is officially approved, DBJ and Joe Z will interview the assistant coach that recruited the student-athlete, as well as his future position coach.

Fellow Miami and WQAM radio personality Josh Darrow will be the point person on bonus coverage on the Ustream feed that will include live video chats with UM assistant coaches, football players and more.

You can also catch Coach Golden live on CBS College Sports’ Signing Day special at 12:30 p.m. ET. At 1:25 p.m. ET, he will discuss signing day with ESPN’s Rece Davis on ESPNU. Golden will also appear live on Comcast Sports Southeast’s show at 2:30 p.m. (check local listings for channels).

The all-day coverage will build up to coach Golden’s first comments on the signing class during his press conference at 4 p.m. Eastern.

After what promises to be a very successful signing day, Miami and WQAM will host a free party at Monty’s in Coconut Grove.  The party kicks off at 7 p.m. and will run until 9 p.m.

In addition to the lively atmosphere at Monty’s, Hurricane Hotline with Zagacki, Bailey and Darrow will be live on the scene and on WQAM.com. Coach Golden, assistant coaches and a handful of Miami football players will be on hand to join in the festivities, welcome fans and sign autographs.
