Hatic Puts up Strong Times in Rome Meet

ROME – University of Miami swimmer Dana Hatic put up some of her best short-course time over the weekend, competing in the 48th Annual Sette Colli International Open with the South Florida Aquatics Club in Rome.
Hatic, a junior from Coral Springs, Fla., finished the weekend with a personal-best time of 1:13.74 in the 100-meter breaststroke. Her previous best for the long course event was 1:13.97. She would finish second in her opening heat, before concluding the finals 30th overall against some of the best swimmers from around the country.
In the 50-meter breast, Hatic continued to make waves – setting a new personal-best mark with a finishing time of 33.99, winning her heat in the process. The previous best time for her was a 35.17 performance. She finished in the top-half of the finals for the 50-meter breaststroke.
Hatic concluded the weekend in the 200-meter breaststroke on Sunday.
