DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.  Maria Ronderos birdied three holes in second round action at the NCAA Regionals in Daytona Beach on Friday afternoon. The senior finished with a score of 80 on the Legends Course at LPGA International.

Ronderos, currently at +15 (159), will tee-off at 8:55 a.m. in Saturday’s final round.

The senior carded birdies on holes four, 11 and 13, but committed a bogey or worse on eight holes in the round. She sits in a tie for 102nd place in the tournament.

No. 3 Alabama (-5) leads the team competition heading into the final round, with the Stephanie Meadow (-6) of the Crimson Tide atop the individual leaderboard. The top eight teams, in addition to the top two individuals the tournament, will qualify for the NCAA Championships at Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas from May 18-21.
