Brown Named ACC Performer of the Week for No. 21 Canes

GREENSBORO, N.C. –  The University of Miami’s Ti’erra Brown was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Performer of the Week on Tuesday after winning the 100m hurdles at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational over the weekend.

The Hampton, Va. native earned the weekly honor for the second time of her career, crossing the finish line in 13.16 seconds – the nation’s 12th-fastest collegiate time this year. Brown also competed in the 400m dash, finishing fourth at 54.53 seconds.

Brown last ran in the 100m hurdles at the NACAC Championships on July 9, 2010 when she took home the individual title in 12.86 seconds.

The five-time All-America selection will be in action this weekend when she and the rest of the 21st-ranked Hurricanes will travel to Durham, N.C. to take part in the ACC Championships at Duke’s Wallace Wade Stadium.
