Hocutt Comments on Inaccurate Ticket Reports

Aug. 24, 2010

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Contrary to several reports, the University of Miami did not return any tickets to Ohio State for the highly-anticipated game on Sept. 11.

“We have allocated each and every one of the 4,000 tickets in our allotment for the Ohio State game on Sept. 11,” said Miami Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt.  “Any reports that Miami returned unused game tickets to Ohio State are absolutely untrue. The outpouring of requests from Miami fans for tickets was more that we could accommodate and we wish we were able to bring a larger contingent of `Canes fans with us to Columbus.”

The game between No. 13 Miami and No. 2 Ohio State will be broadcast at 3:40 p.m. on ESPN with the team of Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe calling the action.
