Hurricane Club Holiday Party Set for Dec. 18 at BankAtlantic Center

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Hurricane Club will be holding its annual Holiday Party in conjunction with the Orange Bowl Classic on Sat., Dec. 18, at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla.
The party will run from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., followed by the Classic’s opening game between Miami and UCF at 1 p.m. Those attending the Holiday Party should check in at the North VIP lobby entrance of the arena.
Hurricane Club members may purchase a ticket to the Holiday Party for just $20, which includes a game ticket, full buffet with hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, salad, soft drinks, cash bar and the opportunity to celebrate the holiday season with fellow Hurricanes.
At 5-2, Miami’s men’s basketball team picked up a pair of statement wins at home last week, defeating West Virginia and Ole Miss. The `Canes are led by guards Durand Scott and Malcolm Grant with 14.1 points per game, along with center Reggie Johnson who is among just four ACC players averaging a double-double with 12.9 points and 10.0 rebounds per outing. Undefeated UCF knocked off Florida in Gainesville last week en route to a 7-0 record and is led by Marcus Jordan – son of Michael – with 16.4 points per game.
