EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Miami’s Ti’erra Brown has been added to The Bowerman Official Watch List by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as announced on Monday . The Bowerman Award recognizes the top male and female athletes in NCAA Track and Field.
In her junior season, Brown has set a school record and has already earned All-America status for the third time when she placed third in the 60m hurdles final. On May 28th at the NCAA East Preliminary Round she set the school record in the national quarterfinals of the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.74 seconds – the fourth-fastest time in the world this year.
“Ti’erra is very deserving of being added to the Bowerman Watch List,” said Director of Track and Field Amy Deem Quote. “To be included with the best women’s track and field athletes is a tremendous honor.”

But being mentioned with all of the other great athletes isn’t just for me, it’s also for my family, my coaches and teammates and for UM.”
Brown’s run at three national championships begins Wednesday, June 9 at 10 p.m. EST when she takes part in the 400m hurdle national semifinals.
