Coral Gables, Fla. – Miami left tackle Jason Fox has been selected one of five Atlantic Coast Conference football players of the week announced Monday by the ACC. Fox earned his second conference weekly honor this season.

Fox was selected as the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week after helping the Hurricanes defeat Virginia, 52-17. Fox helped anchor an offensive line that made space for a Hurricane offense that piled up season-highs of 515 yards and 268 rushing yards in Miami’s 52-17 win over visiting Virginia. Fox graded out at 98 percent, had five pancake blocks.

Clemson senior running back C.J. Spiller racked up a career-high and ACC season-best 312 all-purpose yards en route to being named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Back of the Week. In addition to Spiller, four other players of the week selections are appearing on the list for at least their second time this season. Fox, Virginia Tech senior outside linebacker Cody Grimm (Defensive Back of the Week) and freshman running back Ryan Williams (Rookie of the Week), and Maryland sophomore wide receiver Torrey Smith (Specialist of the Week) have all been honored at least twice this season.

North Carolina sophomore defensive end Robert Quinn rounds out this week’s group as the Defensive Player of the Week.
