No. 22 Men's Tennis Falls to No. 24 Alabama

Malibu, Calif... – The No. 24 University of Alabama men’s tennis team knocked off the No. 22 Hurricanes, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon in the opening round of the ITA Kickoff Classic at Pepperdine University.

With the loss the Hurricanes fall to 1-2, while the Crimson Tide improves to 2-0. Alabama will square off versus host Pepperdine on Sunday at 10 a.m., with the winner advancing to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Chicago. Miami will play No. 46 Denver on Sunday at 1 p.m. (EST).

The Hurricanes fell behind 1-0 after dropping the doubles point, with losses at the No. 2 and 3 positions. Miami then dropped three straight singles matches in straight sets to fall to the Crimson Tide.
