JC Whitner Named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Coral Gables, FLA (www.hurricanesports.com) — – Junior men’s tennis player JC Whitner has been selected as the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period October 6-12.

Whitner, from Bradenton, Fla., returned to his hometown to win both the singles and doubles events at the Scott Tribley Tournament on Saturday, October 11.

In singles competition Whitner downed three opponents before defeating Florida A&M’s Michael Moore 6-1,6-3 in the championship match. In doubles final, he teamed with Hector Nieto to defeat the Florida A&M duo of Artiom Podgainil/Michael Moore by the score of 8-5.
