Coral Gables, Fla. – The storied University of Miami men’s tennis program will host an alumni reunion on Sun., Oct. 14, on campus at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

Over the program’s 77-year history, the Hurricanes have produced 27 All-Americans, four NCAA singles titles and three top-ranked players. In addition, Miami won 137-straight dual matches from 1957-64, marking one of the most impressive winning streaks in collegiate athletics.

Several Hurricane tennis players have gone on to the pro ranks – including Todd Widom (2001-03) and Michael Russell (1996-97), who is currently No. 71 in the world.

“I’m looking forward to spending some time with our alumni this weekend,” said fourth-year head coach Mario Rincon. “We really want to make the effort to stay in touch with our former players and keep them involved with the program.”

The alumni will kick off the reunion on Saturday by attending the Miami-Georgia Tech football game at the Orange Bowl, before Sunday’s campus activities. At 11 a.m. on Sunday, the alumni will gather to play tennis and have lunch at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
