CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -Reserve Jade Perry had 19 points and 14 rebounds to help top-ranked Maryland achieve a season-high point total by beating the Miami Hurricanes 111-53 Wednesday night.

Fellow reserve Ashleigh Newman also scored 19 points, sinking six of seven 3-point tries for the Terrapins.

Defending national champion Maryland (18-0, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) earned its 24th consecutive victory, extending a school record. Miami (9-9, 0-3) lost its fourth game in a row and only its second this season at home.

The Terrapins, who lead the nation in shooting, finished at 57 percent from the field and topped 100 points for the fourth time this season. Perry shot 8-for-10. Marissa Coleman had 14 points, all in the first half, and added nine rebounds for the Terps, who had a 56-25 advantage on the boards.

Crystal Langhorne had 13 points and nine rebounds. Shay Doron scored 14 points, and Kristi Toliver added 12.

Maurita Reid led Miami with 24 points, and Albrey Grimsley added 13.

The Terps scored a season-high 59 points in the first half, and their 39-point lead at the half was also a season high. During one stretch midway through the game, they scored on 15 of 16 possessions to lead 66-22.

Maryland kept gunning until the end – Newman sank a pair of 3-pointers in the final 4 minutes. Her point total was a season high.

The Terrapins came into the game with an average victory margin of 32 points, and Newman sank three consecutive 3-pointers to put them ahead 19-4.

They made six of their first eight 3-point tries en route to a 36-8 lead. A 16-0 run late in the first half boosted the margin to 57-16.

Miami missed all 11 3-point tries in the first half, while Maryland went 7-for-12.
