Hurricane Divers Compete in the 2007 AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix

Coral Gables, Fla. – University of Miami divers senior Heather Bounds, junior Jenna Dreyer, and freshman Ruben Ross competed in the 2007 AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix on May 10-12 at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center.

All three Miami divers competed with the national teams from their native countries, as Bounds a native of Austin, TX, represented Team USA. Dreyer, who is originally from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, competed for the South African team, while Ross represented the Canadian diving team, as he is a native of Regina Saskatchewan, Canada.

Bounds competed in the preliminary/quarterfinals of the women’s Platform where she finished with a score of 253.65 for 16th place.

That same day in the women’s three-meter springboard preliminary/quarterfinal round, junior Jenna Dreyer posted a 17th-place finish with a score of 255.90.

Ross finished with a score 332.90 in the preliminary/quarterfinal round of the men’s three-meter springboard to finish 16th.
