Hurricanes Finish Fifth in 4x400 "Championship of America"

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Miami women’s 4×400-meter relay team came in fifth place in the “Championship of America” to close out competition Saturday at the 113th Penn Relays held at historic Franklin Field.

The UM 4×400 relay team of freshman Kristy Whyte , senior Ginou Etienne, sophomore Ena Leufroy and sophomore Krista Simkins crossed with a time of 3:38.19 to place fifth overall.

The Hurricanes will return to action May 11-12 at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
