UM Holds 2007 Miami Elite Invitational Saturday

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s and women’s track and field teams will play host to the 2007 Miami Elite Invitational Saturday at Cobb Stadium for Track and Field.
Along with UM, this year’s annual Miami Elite Invitational will feature several of the nation’s top athletes including competitors from Texas A&M, whose women’s team is ranked No. 4 nationally, Florida, Jacksonville, Tulane, Florida A&M, South Florida, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Florida Memorial and SUNY-Albany.
Several former Olympians and collegiate athletes are also scheduled to compete including former Hurricane national champion and 2004 Olympic silver medalists Lauryn Williams.
Competition is slated to begin with field events at 12 noon while running events will start at 5 p.m.
Admission is just $5 dollars for adults and $3 dollars for children and senior citizens.
