UM Completes Second Round of Ryder/Florida Championships

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – Senior Josie Shinn’s two-over-par, 74 Saturday highlighted Miami’s performance in the second round of the 37th Annual Ryder/Florida Women’s Collegiate Golf Championships held at Don Shula’s Golf Club and Resort.
Shinn’s second-round effort, which included a 34 on the front nine holes, moved her into a tie for 13th place with a two-round total 154. She also tied UCF’s Stephanie Connelly for the second-lowest second round score.
Senior Hagen Weintraub is tied for eighth at 153 after two rounds following a six-over, 78 Saturday. Senior Tiffany Prats sits tied for 29th with a 159 while sophomore Anabelle Paulino (167) and senior Urd Pedersen (169) are 47th and 51st, respectively.
As a team, Miami moved up one spot to seventh heading into Sunday’s final round.
