AS A JUNIOR (2005-06): ACC All-Academic Golf team selection…All-American Scholar by the National Golf Coaches Association…competed in 8-of-9 tournaments recording a team low 76.00 stroke average…led the team with six top-20 finishes including three top-10 results…was the Hurricanes’ top finisher in four tournaments…finished tied for fourth at the Wildcat Fall Classic (75-71-74–220) during the fall season, as well as top-20 finishes at the Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate (T13) and Taco Bell Intercollegiate (T19)…in the spring she finished tied for fifth at the Papa John’s Collegiate (75-75-73–223) and tied for seventh at the Ryder/Florida Championship (78-74-73–225)…finished tied for 19th at the ACC Championship (80-75-77–232).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2004-05): 2005 All-ACC selection…played in all 10 tournaments recording one victory and three other top-10 finishes…ranked second on the team with a 75.9 stroke average…was among the Hurricanes’ top-2 finishers in all but two events this season…fired a final round 67 to win the Papa John’s Collegiate by seven strokes…was the only play under par for the tournament with a three round score of 213 (73-73-67)…placed second at the Ryder Florida Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship (72-75-76–223)…finished 15th at the ACC Golf Championships (80-79-77–236)…finished tied for 57th at the NCAA East Regional (77-75-78–230).
AT NORTH CAROLINA (2002-03): Competed for the North Carolina Tar heels in 2002-03…played in four tournaments averaging 77.08 strokes per round…finished tied for 23rd at Franklin Street Trust Tar Heel Invitational (77-73-74-224) for her best finish of the season…her 73 tied her low round on the season…also shot a round of 73 at the Mercedes-Benz Championship.
PREP: Three-year golf letter winner at Pinecrest High School…team captain senior year…three-time team MVP, three-time all-conference performer, three-time all-state and two-time all-region…three-time conference player of the year…2002 and 2001 Nike All-America…2001 N.C. High School State Champion…placed in the top 10 in the state in 1999 and 2000…N.C. High School Midwest Regional Champion in 2000 and 2001…2001 Nike Player of the Year after winning six events during the Nike Winternational Junior Series…2001 N.C. Women’s Golf Association Junior Champion and tied for fourth in the N.C. Women’s Amateur…Carolina Women’s Match Play quarterfinalist in 2001…broke the NC girls 9-hole record when she shot a score of 30 during a conference meet at Pinehurst…champion of the 2000 N.C. Eastern Junior Golf Association Championship…competed on the men’s team at The O’Neal School freshman year…coached by Sandy Sackmann…was named athlete of the year for Pinecrest and Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Pinecrest her senior year of high school…was a member of the honor roll all four years of high school…Golden Key winner at the National Scholastic Art Awards.
PERSONAL: Majoring in Criminology with a double minor in Business Law and Political Science…will serve as the team’s Academic Captain this season…enjoys going to movies and shopping in her free time.
