Hurricanes Finish Sixth at Papa John's Collegiate

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – Miami senior Tiffany Prats fired a final-round, two-over-par 74 at the third annual Papa John’s Collegiate Championships to finish tied for seventh overall in the final individual standings at Don Shula’s Golf Club.
Prats, who shot a 75 (+3) and 82 (+10) during Sunday and Monday’s first and second rounds respectively, finished the three-day tournament 15-over with a total of 231 which placed her into a three-way tie with East Carolina’s Jessica Hauser and Augusta State’s Emilie Geury for seventh place overall. Louisville’s Cindy LaCrosse edged out San Jose State’s Erica Moston by one stroke to claim the individual championship with a 10-over 226.
Combined, the Hurricanes put together a final round 311 to finish sixth overall with a three day total 941 (+79). Led by LaCrosse, Louisville won the overall team championship with 60-over-par 924 – two strokes ahead of tournament runner up San Jose State.
UM junior Jessica Steward finished tied for 11th with a 17-over 233, junior Hagen Weintraub finished tied for 18th with a 20-over 236, senior Josie Shinn tied for 43rd with a 28-over 244, sophomore Anabelle Paulino tied for 58th with a 37-over 253 and senior Urd Pedersen tied for 60th with a 39-over 255.
