Steward Moves into Fourth Place After Second Day at Papa John's Collegiate

Miami junior Jessica Steward shot a one-over-par 73 to finish the second day of the third annual Papa John’s Collegiate Golf Championships tied for second fourth overall among the individual leaderboard at Don Shula’s Golf Club.
Steward, who began the day tied for 27th place following a score of 81 during Sunday’s first round, put together a day two round of 73 – which tied tournament leader Erica Moston of San Jose State for the lowest round of the day – to climb 23 spots Monday. After two days of play Stewart sits at 10-over par and four strokes off Moston’s total of 150 (+6).
As a team the Hurricanes head into Tuesday’s final round tied with San Francisco for fifth place with a two-day total of 630 (+54).
Senior Tiffany Prats is tied for 12th place with a total of 157 (+13), senior Josie Shinn is tied for 23rd place with a total of 159 (+15) and junior Hagen Weintraub is tied for 25th place with at 160 (+16).
The third and final day of the Papa John’s Collegiate Golf Championships will conclude Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
