Prats Tied for Second After First Day of Papa John's Collegiate

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – Senior Tiffany Prats fired an opening-round, three-over-par 75 to finish tied for second after the first day of play at the third annual Papa John’s Collegiate Golf Championships held at Don Shula’s Golf Club.
Pratts pared 13 holes on the afternoon while shooting 38 and 37 on the front and back nines to finish tied San Jose State’s Nina Rodriguez for second on the individual leaderboard. Louisville’s Cindy LaCrosse led all players with a one-over 73.
As a team the Hurricanes head into Monday’s second round, slated to begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., in fifth place with a team total 317 (+29).
UM junior Hagen Weintraub sits tied for 14th with an opening round 79 (+7), followed by junior Jessica Steward’s 81 (+9), senior Josie Shinn’s 82 (+10) and sophomore Anabelle Paulino’s 87 (+15).
