Women's Golf Sixth Heading Into Final Round

Lexington, Ky. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s golf team posted scores of 322 and 314 on Saturday and is in sixth-place heading into the final round of the Wildcat Fall Classic in Lexington, Ky.

Miami (636) is just three strokes back of Louisville (630) which leads the tournament by one-stroke over North Carolina State and Memphis.

Miami senior Josie Shinn (Pinehurst, N.C.) is tied for seventh after firing a two-round total of 156 (81-75). Junior Jessica Steward (Mystic, Conn.) is tied for 12th (78-79–157) while sophomore Anabelle Paulino (Dominican Republic) is tied for 20th (78-81–159).

Rounding out the Hurricanes scores are senior Urd Pedersen (Norway) who is tied for 53rd (88-79–167) and junior Hagen Weintraub (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) who is tied for 62nd (85-84–169).

Mississippi State’s Amanda Mathis leads the individual competition after posting a two-round total of 148 (75-73).
