Coral Gables, Fla. (www. hurricanesports.com) – – UM Employee Day at the Orange Bowl is set for Saturday, September 30, when the Hurricanes take on the University of Houston. All full-time benefited employees are eligible to receive one free admission ticket and can purchase up to five additional tickets for $1 each with a valid University identification.
End Zone Pre-game Rally Planned for Employees at Saturday’s Game versus Houston
UM Employees who are planning on attending the game are invited to join us for a pre-game rally in the east endzone. The rally will feature pre-game music, pom pom giveaways courtesy of Humana, a short chalk talk with members of the coaching staff, and the cheerleaders and Sebastian the Ibis.
Orange Bowl gates open at 4:30pm, and the pre-game rally will begin when the gates open.
As an added benefit to employees who take advantage of this great opportunity, employees who pick up their tickets will receive a coupon good for 30 minutes of FREE video game play at GameWorks, the official watch party location of the Hurricanes.
Ticket sales representatives will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday leading up to the game. Sales will take place in the Whitten University Center breezeway on the Coral Gables campus and outside of Au Bon Pain on the medical campus. In addition, ticket sales representatives will be available at the Rosenstiel campus on September 20th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Employees on the Gables and Medical campus will also have a special opportunity to purchase tickets in different locations. On Tuesday September 19, Coral Gables Employees will have the opportunity to purchase their employee day tickets from 10am- 2 pm on the University Green. On Thursday September 21, the medical campus employees will be able to purchase tickets in the Schoninger Quadrangle from 10 am – 2pm. Please bring your camera for these dates as the cheerleaders and Sebastian are scheduled to make appearances. Look for the large inflatable helmet the team runs through to find where you can purchase your tickets.
Tickets are also available at the Hurricane Ticket Office in the Hecht Athletic Center. Remember to bring your valid employee ID card as photocopies will not be accepted as a substitute for the original.
