Shinn Named To 2006 All-ACC Academic Team

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami junior Josie Shinn (Pinehurst, N.C.) has been named to the inaugural All-ACC Academic Women’s Golf Team as announced by Commissioner John Swafford.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.

Shinn, a Sociology major who carries a 3.405 cumulative GPA, played in eight tournaments last season recording six top-20 finishes. She recorded 19 rounds in the 70’s and led the team with a 77.0 stroke average.
