Women's Track and Field to Compete at Texas Relays

(hurricanesports.com) – The No. 8 University of Miami women’s track and field team will be competing at the 79th Texas Relays from April 6-8, in Austin, Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium. <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>
Competing in running events for the Hurricanes will be All-American Dominique Darden in the 400 meter hurdles, Pavi’Elle James in the 100 meter hurdles and All-American India Ransom in the 100 meter dash. The Hurricanes will also compete in the 4×100, 4×200, 4×400 meter relays and the sprint medley relay.
In the field events, All-Americans Tabia Charles and Brenda Faluade, and All-ACC Amy Seward will be competing in both the long and triple jumps. All-ACC Khadija Talley and Akera Lathan, will both compete in the shot put and discus. Talley will also compete in the hammer throw. School record holder Kaitlin Nazario will throw the javelin.
A modified schedule of events is posted below. Results will be available on hurricanesports.com after the completion of that day’s events.
