Miami Lakes, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami shot a second round 298, the second lowest round of the day, but was unable to make up any ground against the field and remains in seventh place heading into the final round of the Ryder Florida Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship being held at Don Sula’s Golf Club in Miami Lakes, Fla.

Florida State shot 294 on Saturday, the lowest round of the tournament, to take a four stroke lead over Rollins College.

Leading Miami on Saturday was junior Tiffany Prats (Williston, Fla.) who shot an even par 72 and is tied for 12th with a two-day total of 151. Junior Josie Shinn (Pinehurst, N.C.) recorded a 74 and is tied for 16th with a total of 152.

Florida State’s Caroline Westrup fired her second straight 73 and has a one stroke lead over teammate Caroline Larsson, Charlotte Campbell (Rollins) and Christine Jones (USF) heading into Sunday’s final round.

The final round will take place Sunday with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. Admission is free.
