Starks Competes on Three-Meter at NCAA Championships

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>ATLANTA, Ga.– Junior diver Derek Starks finished 19th in three-meter springboard preliminaries on the second day of action at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships held at the GeorgiaTechAquaticCenter Friday afternoon. <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

 

Starks, a Mission Viejo, Calif. native, finished 19th in the prelims with a score of 291.30. The top eight finishers from the afternoon’s prelims advance to the evening’s finals.

 

Starks will conclude action at the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday with the 10-meter platform. Prelims are slated to begin at 1:30 p.m. with followed by finals at 7:00 p.m.
