CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The 15th-ranked Hurricanes won all six singles matches and claimed two of three doubles matches to knock off No. 21 Tennessee 7-0 Monday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

The 7-0 sweep by Miami (9-2) marks the third over a top 25 opponent and the fourth overall this season.

In what would prove to be a test for UM at positions 1 through 4, the Volunteers (7-3) took four Miami players to three sets, but could not outlast the Hurricanes.

At No. 1, 11th-ranked Luigi D’Agord was forced to win 6-3 and 6-2 in the second and third sets, respectively, after falling in a 6-2 first-set loss to No. 123 Bobby Cameron.

UM’s Daniel Vallverdu rebounded from a 4-6 first-set loss to Kaden Hensel to win the final two sets 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2.

After falling 6-2 in the first set to Kiril Tcherveniacki, Tim Krebs won on court No. 3 with a 6-5 and 6-4 second and third set victory.

Eric Hechtman spit the first and second sets 6-4 each against Ben Rogers before winning the match-tie break 7-4 at No. 4.

John Hoyes and Vivek Subramanian each won in straight sets, downing Derek Stephens (7-6, 7-5) and Adam Hubble (6-4, 6-4) at the No. 5 and 6 positions, respectively.

In doubles, Krebs and Hechtman teamed to down Hensel and Cameron 8-5 at No. 2 while Subramanian and P.J. Passalacqua defeated Sandgren and Tcherveniacki 8-2 at No. 3.

The Hurricanes return to action Wednesday, hosting Denver at 12 noon in their final non-conference slate of the season.
