CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Five members of the 2005 Miami Hurricanes football team were named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team that was released today by the ACC. The Hurricanes honored were: CB Kelly Jennings, TE Greg Olsen, PK Jon Peattie, S Kenny Phillips and C Anthony Wollschlager.

To be eligible, a player must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the fall semester. Duke led the way with eight selections, followed by Miami and Virginia Tech with five selections each.

“We’re in a very strong academic conference, and we have had 11 players named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team in our first two years, so we’re very pleased with our representation,” said head coach Larry Coker. “We’re very proud of our student athletes. Our goal is to perform well on the field as well as in the classroom, and we want to keep that tradition going.”
