Six Hurricanes On All-ACC Academic Football Team

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Six members of the 2004 Miami Hurricanes football team were named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team that was released today by the ACC. The Hurricanes honored were: QB Brock Berlin, C Joel Rodriguez, LB Roger McIntosh, CB Antrel Rolle, CB Kelly Jennings and PK Jon Peattie.
To be eligible, a player must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the fall semester or have maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career. Duke led the way with eight selections, followed by Miami, Virginia and Maryland with six selections each.
“We’re now in a very strong academic conference, and for our first year we’re very pleased with our representation on the All-ACC Academic Football Team,” said head coach Larry Coker. “We’re very proud of our student athletes. Our goal is to perform well on the field as well as in the classroom, and we want to keep that tradition going.”
