Hurricanes in 10th Place After First Round at Taco Bell Intercollegiate

GREENVILE, N.C. – The University of Miami women’s golf team fired a first-round score of 299 (+11) to wrap up the first day of play in 10th place at the Taco Bell Intercollegiate held at Bradford Creek Golf Course.

Leading the UM five-man team was sophomore Jessica Stewart who shot a one-under par first round score of 71 to finish tied for ninth.

Juniors Tiffany Prats and Josie Shinn and sophomore Hagen Weintraub each finished Friday’s first round tied for 54th overall with first round scores of 76 (+4) while freshman Anabeel Paulino fired a five-over first round 55 to finish tied for 64th.

Second round play at the Taco Bell Intercollegiate will continue Saturday morning beginning at 8 a.m.
