Women's Track Ranked Sixth By Trackwire

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s track and field team remained at No. 6 in the nation in the latest Trackwire25 Women’s Outdoor Track and Field rankings released Tuesday.
Miami has already had 14 women record 25 NCAA regional qualifying marks in 15 events this outdoor season, including both the 4×100-meter relay and 4×400-meter relay.
The Hurricanes’ 4×400-meter relay of senior Wiande Moore (Spring, Texas), sophomore Ginou Etienne (Miami Central), junior Dominique Darden (Harrisburg, Pa.) and junior Charlette Greggs (Miami Northwestern) placed second at last weekend’s Penn Relays with a time of 3:29.27 establishing a new UM and ACC all-time conference record.
The Hurricanes posted the second-fastest time in the nation. Miami’s final two legs of Darden (51.5 seconds) and Greggs (51.3 seconds) both posted sub 52-second splits.
