Dreyer Places First at NCAA Zone B Diving Championships

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>ATLANTA, Ga. – University of Miami freshman diver Jenna Dreyer placed first on the one-meter board and qualified for the NCAA Championships with a score of 603.65 at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships in the GeorgiaTechAquaticCenter Saturday evening. <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>
On the men’s side, senior Miguel Velazquez finished in third place on the three-meter board with a score of 602.00 while sophomore Derek Starks finished in ninth place with a score of 535.70.
The NCAA Zone Diving Championship meet qualifies 13 men and 11 women for the NCAA Championships. The diving meet will continue on Sunday with the men’s and women’s platform competitions.
