Bradley and Banada Ranked Fourth in Doubles

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami’s Megan Bradley and Audrey Banada doubles tandem moved up to fourth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings that were released Tuesday. The duo is undefeated in six matches while holding a 15-1 overall record.
Bradley and Banada moved up four spots from their No. 8 ranking in the ITA’s January 11th poll. The Hurricanes’ No. 1 doubles pair has defeated three ranked doubles teams including UCLA’s third ranked Daniela Bercek and Riza Zalameda.
The Hurricanes (5-2 overall, 0-0 ACC) remain ranked 10th for the third straight week after shutting out their opponents in three straight matches last week.
Bradley also remained ranked second in the ITA’s singles poll after her initial No. 2 ranking January 11th. The Columbia, Missouri native is currently riding a 21 match win streak and has posted a 7-0 record in spring play. Miami’s No. 1 player holds a 26-1 overall record.
Sophomore Emily Mowery debuted 98th in the singles rankings after posting a 2-2 record from the No. 6 position and is 13-4 overall. Mowery defeated three ranked players and posted an 11-2 record during the fall season.
The Hurricanes return to action with a two-match road swing where they will travel to No. 34 Alabama Friday, Feb. 25th for a 4:00 p.m. match time, followed by their Atlantic Coast Conference season opener against fellow ACC newcomer Virginia Tech Sunday, Feb. 27th at 10:00 a.m.
