Hurricanes Prepare for Trip to North Carolina State

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The third-ranked Miami football team practiced for more than two hours Tuesday afternoon at the Greentree Practice Fields putting in the game plan for its upcoming showdown with North Carolina State at 7:45 p.m. Saturday on ESPN.

“It was a good day for us,” Miami head coach Larry Coker said. “The guys got a lot of good work in and had fun. The team seems to be fresh and feeling good.”

Wide receiver Sinorice Moss returned to the practice field after missing the Louisville game with a sore hamstring. The junior from Carol City was a welcome sight for the Hurricanes’ coaching staff. Coker was not as optimistic about the availability of fellow wide receiver Ryan Moore (foot).

“It was good to see Sinorice Moss running around,” Coker said. “He practiced well today and was able to do everything. Ryan Moore didn’t practice, and again, I don’t feel good about Ryan (being able to play on Saturday).

Coker believes Moss will be probable for Saturday’s game at North Carolina State, and Moore is listed as doubtful.

Leon Williams had the cast removed from his fractured hand and Coker expects the junior from Brooklyn, N.Y., to assume the starting role at middle linebacker.

The Hurricanes return to the practice field on Wednesday for a 3:30 p.m. workout.
