Hurricanes Take on FIU at Cobb Stadium

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami soccer team will host cross-town rival Florida International Wednesday evening at Cobb Stadium at 7 p.m.
Head coach Tricia Taliaferro and the Hurricanes will attempt to snap a four-game losing streak Wednesday against the Golden Panthers as they enter the match with an overall record of 2-8-0 after falling to No. 22 Wake Forest 5-0 in their last outing.
FIU fell to 4-8-0 on the year after losing to Louisiana-Lafayette 2-0 Sunday in their last match.
Miami will look to senior forward Britney Butcher and junior forward Lindsey Yach, who both lead the Hurricanes with a pair of goals each on the year, against the Golden Panthers.
The Hurricanes and FIU are split at three wins each through their six meetings all-time. Miami upended the Golden Panthers 5-1 in the two school’s last meeting at FIU last season.
